Gournay Style Cheese

A creamy and irresistible vegan gournay style (think boursin) cheese, with fresh chives. Perfect on crackers, or on a charcuterie board!

Turn Soy-Free Tofu into a creamy cheesy spread

Ingredients

  • 1 pack Big Mountain Foods Soy Free Tofu
  • ½ cup coconut oil (if solid heat to liquify)
  • ½ lemon juiced
  • 4 tsp apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tsp sea salt
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 3-4 chives, finely chopped (dried is also ok)

Recipe Preparation

  1. Tear tofu into pieces and add with all other ingredients except chives to a food processor and blend until smooth.
  2. Remove mixture to a serving bowl or storage container and fold in chives. Using a spoon or spatula smooth surface to fill any air pockets or space between mixture and bottom/sides of bowl.
  3. Refrigerate at least 4 hours or ideally, overnight. Serve with crackers, dried fruit, nuts, olives and veggies. Also makes a fantastic addition to any sandwich. Enjoy!
