Tofu Larb

A vegan and Big Mountain version of a traditional larb recipe. Tastes absolutely delicious on lettuce wraps!

  • 2/3 pack Big Mountain Smoked Tofu, small dice
  • 1/2 Onion, small dice
  • 1/4 cup Cilantro, minced
  • 1/4 cup Mint, finely sliced
  • 1 Lime Juice and zest
  • 2 tbsp Lemon Grass, finely sliced
  • 1 Garlic Clove, minced
  • 1 Thai Chili, finely sliced
  • 1/2 tsp Kosher Salt
  • 2 tbsp Vegan Oyster Sauce
  • 1 tsp White Pepper
  • 1/4 cup Canola Oil
  • 1/2 tsp Sugar

Recipe Preparation

  1. In a food processor add smoked tofu and pulse 5 times, creating a crumbly texture.
  2. In a medium sized non-stick pan, heat oil over medium heat. Add onions, garlic, and Thai chili. Sauté for 30 seconds to warm up ingredients.
  3. Add white pepper, salt, sugar, oyster sauce, lime juice and zest. Mix for 30 seconds. Add tofu and continue to sauté for 30 seconds. Remove from heat into serving bowl.
  4. Add fresh mint and cilantro and toss to mix.
  5. Serve with lettuce cups or hot rice.
