Classic Lasagna

Ingredients

  • 1 box mushroom crumble
  • 1 batch tofu gournay cheese (or sub ricotta)
  • 1 36oz jar pasta sauce of choice
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 pack lasagna noodles
  • 2 cups shredded cheese
  • salt + pepper to taste

Recipe Preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 350F. Make tofu gournay (if using) and set aside.
  2. Boil lasagna noodles according to package directions, then rinse with cold water and set aside.
  3. in a bowl, combine Mushroom Crumble, garlic, pasta sauce, Italian seasoning, and salt and pepper.
  4. Spread a thin layer of sauce mixture into the bottom of a large 9×13" baking dish. Top with a layer of noodles, followed by a layer of 1/2 the gournay. Repeat.
  5. Layer more sauce, and one final layer of noodles. Top with remainder of sauce and sprinkle with shredded cheese.
  6. Cover with tin foil, then bake for approximately 50 minutes. Broil for 5 minutes to crisp up.
