Ingredients
- 3 tbsp sake
- 3 tbsp Mirin
- 1/2 cup miso
- 1/4 cup cane sugar
- 1 Block of Big Mountain Foods Soy-Free Tofu (Regular or Smoked)
- 1/4 tsp roasted sesame seeds
- 1 green onion
Recipe Preparation
- Add all ingredients to saucepan and whisk over medium heat 2-3 minutes until well combined, set aside to cool
- Cut soy-free tofu into 1/3 or 1/4 slices
- Place the tofu and marinade and let it sit for at least a couple hours or overnight. Leave some soft leftover for later
- Pan-fry or bake tofu for 15 minutes at 350 degrees in an oven
- Garnish with some sesame seeds or green onion
- Serve with rice or udon, or eat on it's own
- Add some of the extra sauce for more flavour
